Thanks for all your support so far. I know we are few, but I still will keep sharing what I do, even if it means someone forcing me to shut things down.

Do you know what 72 means? That is the number of miniatures included in the Zombicide Invaders game kit from Guillotine Game and CMON - makers of Zombicide. 72. I painted them all, finally. But, would you guess this is not the first set of Zombicide I have painted? It is not. A few years ago, I was commissioned to paint the core Zombicide set. Again, that was a lot of minis. However, I love this hobby, so it was and these are labors of love.

This version is set in the future and your Survivors go up against powerfully violent and repugnant xenos mutants using some cutting edge and kick-ass weaponry. I personally enjoyed the Falchion Sentry Gun and the Peacekeeper Bot.

So we have 3 sets of minis: Xenos, Survivors, and Machines. Breaking that down a bit - there are 6 Survivors named Cole, Vivian, Mitsuki, Magnus, Jared, and Baraka. We have 4 subsets of xenos: 1 Spoiler Abomination, 14 Hunters, 14 Tanks, and 35 Workers. There are 2 Machine Miniatures: Peacekeeper Bot and the Falchion Sentry Gun.

Seeing as I got started painting minis many years ago with DnD minis and Warhammer 40K minis, I had plenty of Citadel paints to start with. However, I used many different paints with these Zombicide Invaders Minis. I listed the brands below (at least those I can recall):

• Folkart
• Applebarrel
• Army Painter
• Vallejo (Crackle Medium on base)
• Citadel
• DnD line of Paints

Brushes are non-bran specific and come from Michael's craft store, mostly. They ranged from old, busted, crappy ones to newer ones that were most pricey. I used small detail brushes and large dry brushes. Basically a variety are needed.

The basic process of each was to decide on a color scheme for the types of xenos units and keep them color coded to some degree. For me that was blue, green, red, and 'nasty' for the Spoiler Abomination. Thankfully, the line of miniatures from Zombicide Invaders are fairly high quality and require no trimming or prepping other than rinsing and priming. Next, I based in the main colors, used washes to darken the recesses, and then layered a bit of accent colors and touched up with highlights and technical paints for the gore and blood. The bases were done with base colors and then layered with crackle medium and topcoated with a dry brushed layer of contrasting color.
