Finally, after many weeks of many projects and work, I was able to get a tons of photos together of the completed Rochester Downtown Alliance's Transformer Public Art Project I did in June. Since I was taking pictures during the whole process, I ended up with 137. So, I decided to montage them together into this video for easier viewing. Needless to say, I camped it up a bit with some music added to it. Definitely learned a lot about the people of Rochester, new types of mediums, and public art in general during this project. My wife was a saint during the installation of this piece and graciously watched our son when I would go to work on it - THANK YOU, I love you dear!
So apparently, I can't use the video because of weebly. It was a PRO feature. I will have to figure out a new way to get it in there. Looks like YOuTUbe - except youtube is "still processing" . . . rurrgh. Well, it will eventually show up! Hopefully, you all at can kill some time with this and enjoy! Just briefly, the concept was a black and white illustration of a comet flying through space. Each side of the transformers were perspective views of the comet from different angles. Also, the white would be painted with glow-in-the-dark medium. However, the alley where it is located never gets dark enough to see it! Oh, and if you ever want to visit the piece, it is in the alley just after the Center St. Ramp. The map below gives a good estimate.
