Landed Rocket - Finished New Space Painting

After some re-workings of the painting featured in the previous posts labelled as Alla Prima, which it now, no longer is, I think I have come to a satisfied conclusion with this homage to sc-fi and Chuck Jones cartoons. I believe I previously noted tex Avery, but I think that was a mistake. Think Duck Dodger in the 24 1/2 Century.
I placed some more emphasis on the dusty, windswept landscape of the alien planet. In addition, I felt the need to include a lurking, strange astral body in the sky to make clear we are viewing a scene alien to earth. Some minor details added include clouds, further mountains, and more dusty particles in the air. I think the major change would be the addition of much more cooling colors in the foreground to bolster the reverse atmospheric perspective effect. While with the rocket, it has had some more cool colors added with some muted out details, in an attempt to make it hover in the middle ground, seeming to be slowly enveloped in the atmosphere.
I had thought of adding a very small figure in the foreground to establish scale, but decided not to in order to invite that question - what scale is this and how big is that rocket?
The pictures are details and distance views using different lighting (admittedly not the best) using my new NIKON Coolpix L810 - the jury is still out on the camera.
On this painting, I used nothing other than the 1$ bottles of craft acrylic paint from Michael's and an 11x14 canvas board. See, you can make art affordable!
As always, I share for the sake of spreading art, inspiration, and imagination.
