Commissioned Designs - Seven Video Game Posters Graphic Design - Minimal Styles - 24x36 Commissioned graphic design project shown below. Very fun! Had a client ask me to do 7 (seven) 24x36 poster designs in minimal styles. These would be video game focused designs with colors and would be framed and hung in a newly made game room for their family. I do love my video games and had a lot of enjoyment making these. Granted, I am a bit older, so some I had to research as I did not know a lot about Portal 2 and Kyurem. All in all, it was a blast laying out the designs for Kyurem from Pokemon, Space Invaders, Super Mario Brothers, Pac-Man, Minecraft, Portal 2, and Tetris. Below are the low res images that I have to show the work. Greetings All,
Another quick piece for Eternal Crusade. This is a fan art concept design for a Chaos Space Marine Power Claw. Pencils were used to draw the basic design and pen an inks later to outline. I then used some simple phone image editors for the after effects. While others may disagree, I do not buy that this looks like an ork weapon. While ragged and used, there are examples of chaos claws similar. Still, if someone wants to use that, more power to them. The claws themselves glow with corruscating warp energy, while the armor plates are inscribed with chaotic runes, granting the wearer unimaginable favor from one of the Chaos Gods. Comment and critiques welcome. Thanks! Don't forget to visit the eternal crusade site - www.eternalcrusade.com. W40K ETERNAL CRUSADE CHAOS BOLTER CONCEPT FAN ART BY TIM KANEY
I can't believe it has been this long since I last posted art or an update. For anyone out there that actually reads my blarg, you have my sincerest aplogies. It is no excuse but having a second child who is now 9 months old and working full time makes this hard to find time to do. Enough of that. The above image is just what it says. This is fan concept art by yours truly, Tim Kaney, of a Chaos Space Marine Bolter for the upcoming video game Warhammer 40,000 Eternal Crusade. The piece was inspired by the game, the 40K universe, my twisted mind, and my brother. My brother introduced my to Warhammer 40K when I was maybe 10 or 12 and he veered towards the Space Wolves and I towards Chaos. Probably because in real life I live pretty straight and narrow. This particular concept art piece of a bolter is a photo of a ink and pencil illustration. Both the photo and the effects were done with, shocker, my simple cell phone. I was inspired as well by Space Marine scout weapons with their scopes and tried to imagine what a Chaos version might look like. To that end, there are the classic Chaos markers to identify it as such - menacing beast countenance on the forefront, putrid skin tacked on, boroque or Gothic elements, spikes, and cursed insriptions. All elements granting the wielder supernatural firepower on the battlefield. In keeping with the style of Eternal Crusade, I imagined a few names for the Chaos bolter, if it were deserving. I had some ideas and ended up landing on this one - "Dreadful Persuader". I look forward to hearing what you all think. Enjoy and good night! Greetings all,
Here I have another fan art weapons concept drawing for the upcoming Eternal Crusade video game from bvhr interactive. Eternal Crusade site here. This is a quick sketch, inked, and then shaded with pencil. The final effect was applied from a simple photo editor. Maybe about 4-6 hour drawing with no references used. The concept here is that this blade absorbs the souls of those it slays in battle. After which those souls' writhing faces swirl upon the corrupted surface of the chaotic blade, seeming to ask those that gaze upon them for release. Known to many as a fearsome battlefield relic, this chaos space marine kris has been dubbed: "Chaos Death Blade of Thirsting" Comments and Critiques Welcome! More stuff to follow.... |
